An American photographer, Joe McNally has worked for National Geographic Society for 20+ years. He studied at and received his bachelor's and graduate degrees from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and is now based out of New York City. He began as LIFE Magazine's staff photographer, a position which he held for 4 years; during his time there, he created his most famous series, "Faces of Ground Zero", showcasing heroic figures of September 11th, in the form of 246 life-size Polaroid prints. McNally has shot covers for numerous well-known magazines and won multiple awards for his photography. In addition to these, he is known for his use of CLS and Speedlight as well as his camera-holding technique, "Da Grip". Joe also has his own website and blog, and has published two books.
